[edit]Guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements state that ideally the civil parish should be the catch-all article, avoiding single line articles on every village and landmark within the parish.
Therefore, I suggest that villages within the parish with a one or two sentence article, ie Chithurst, Dumpford & Trotton to be merged and redirected to this parish article. ++ MortimerCat (talk) 05:59, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Excellent suggestion - but who will actually do it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.113.248.86 (talk) 14:31, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
Not a good idea: I was not aware till the other day that Chithurst was a part of Trotton, and parish boundaries aren't shown the OS maps. It has a separate identity dating back to Saxon times, and the church is important architecturally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.11.169.252 (talk) 15:47, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
- To be pedantic, Parish boundaries are shown on OS maps. You can see them here [1] 86.154.170.197 (talk) 11:02, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
