Contesting CSD A7[edit]

This page may meet Wikipedia’s criteria for speedy deletion as an article about web site, blog, web forum, webcomic, podcast, browser game, or similar web content that does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject. Note that books, albums, software etc., or schools, are not eligible for this criterion. See CSD A7.
An article about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from questions of verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability; to avoid speedy deletion an article does not have to prove that its subject is notable, just give a reasonable indication of why it might be notable. A7 applies only to articles about web content or articles on people and organizations themselves, not articles on their books, albums, software and so on. Other article types are not eligible for deletion by this criterion. If controversial, as with schools, list the article at Articles for deletion instead.

True Remembrance is not an article about something that is provided on the web. True Remembrance is a visual novel that is run locally on one's own computer. True Remembrance is not a "web game" like, say, Escape the room. I don't think this article is eligible for deletion by the A7 criterion. --Remy Suen (talk) 23:30, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

The AfD debate got us some nice sources that we might be able to get useful information from:

  • Some large Japanese article - With my almost complete lack of knowledge of Japanese, I can't get much info from this, but there's probably some useful stuff in there.
  • Another Japanese article with plenty of info - I still don't know enough Japanese to be able to read this (o rly?), but this seems to have plenty of info as well.
  • Japanese interview with Shiba Satomi - If this isn't useful, then I don't know what is. However, just like in previous line, I still don't know Japanese.
  • TR at ZDNet - Not a very useful source, but it contains an interesting quote: This is the official English localization of a highly-acclaimed Japanese freeware digital novel that won multiple awards for story and production value when it was first released in 2004.

So yeah, maybe we can use these. VDZ (talk) 13:35, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll see if I can help with any of those after I played the game -- クラウド668 15:47, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
