Close Connection

[edit]

I do not have any connection with Trustly other than living in the same city as their head office. I've followed a number of Swedish fintech companies over the years and also contributed with the Swedish wiki article about Trustly about a year ago after seeing a red link from an article about direct bank payments on sv.wikipedia.org. My edit was a direct translation of that article after seeing a pretty empty article here on the English wikipedia.

With that said, I can agree some parts of the original article might be perceived as promotional. I did however also include a section about criticism in order to create a balanced article. Swedish startups in the fintech industry is an amazing phenomenon with Klarna being one of the brightest shining stars at the moment. In my opinion, to not emphasise the article with the awards won't create a just picture of the company as a whole as their journey and development has been amazing.
