Pitched or unpitched
[edit]The tuned anvil is presumably pitched percussion, while the anvils used in all the pieces with which I am familiar are unpitched.
But I notice that at least one of the pieces in the target article section does use pitched anvils. Wagner! I know pitched anvils are available, albeit unusual. It would be good to cite more works that use them. Andrewa (talk) 18:38, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
