Seinfeld appearances[edit]

It seems that you can only see the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh in the show Seinfeld. Look closely and you'll even see Jerry Seinfeld using it. I'm not sure what season this takes place in but it's probably around the computer's introduction date (1997 or 1998). --Tokachu 21:37, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it shows up in the Batman Forever (with Val Kilmer). Alfred owns one, and interestingly it is shown running the defunct Copeland (MacOS 8) project that was scrapped. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 17.201.34.3 (talk) 02:09, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It also appears again as Alfred's computer in Batman & Robin, in which he is seen viewing a photo. And is also Michael Caine's character's computer in Children of Men, starring Clive Owen. Myscrnnm (talk) 11:34, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite[edit]

I have attempted to clean this article up, removing the overly-enthusiastic fanboyish tone. It still needs work, particularly the tangential "specifications" section, but this is much better than the old version. Badger Drink (talk) 06:54, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The fanboyish style is probably because most people contributing to this page are fans/owners of the TAM, such as myself. The Specs section is hardly tangential - the machine was all about its extra features. I've been re-writing this page periodically for years; will continue to do so as required, and as I uncover more information either from my personal records, or other explorations. --TSW Nov15

All-In-One-PCs[edit]

The legacy section seems to imply that this computer was the first all-in-one-PC. The German Wikipedia page for All-In-One-Computers lists quite a few a lot older PCs in a similar form factor: IBM 5100 (1975), Commodore PET 2001 (1977), Tandy TRS-80 (1980). The Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh was not even the first AIO computer by Apple. The first Macintosh (1984) integrated screen and computer in one unit. OSX[edit]

The section describing how OSX can be installed on a TAM using a G3 accelerator is entirely inaccurate. The TAM, 6400 and 6500 can only install OSX < 10.2 using XPostFacto 2 but not 3 or 4 (3 and 4 are made for 10.2-10.4) as the L2 G3 CPU is not recognised at all with any version of XPostFacto and with Sonnet having halted development of OSX extensions to support the TAM, 6400 and 6500 in 2002. ^[1]^[2]^[3] Pcauchy (talk) 12:00, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
