Grammar[edit]

The grammar in this article is hilariously bad. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.135.84.126 (talk) 18:04, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The entire article probably needs a rewrite, but I do not have the necessary expertise or the time to do the research. Feel free to contribute if you can! Even small improvements eventually add up. Augurar (talk) 19:43, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Might need to be rewritten...[edit]

I've read this article and to me it sounds as if it were a newspaper article or editorial. Aside from the bad grammar and many typos, I'm afraid this article might need to be rewritten entirely. Right now I'm trying to fix the grammar and style as best as I can. I've also addded the {{inappropriate person}} template. Astatine211Talk 18:35, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think I removed all the 2nd-person pronouns, so the inappropriate person template can probably be removed. But I agree that this article might need a full rewrite. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.231.0.216 (talk) 05:57, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bias[edit]

This article seems bias against twitch gameplay. It doesn't mention that reflexively using the best commands/ buttons and joystick/ analog stick/ or mouse motions are a part of skill. It also doesn't mention fighting games; the Super Smash Bros. series has a large amount of twitch gameplay, yet requires much of skill to be good at. The part about the future of twitch gameplay seemed exceptionally biased. sdmitch16 (talk) 02:44, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I added some information on fighting games in the section "Twitch in other Genres." Perhaps there should be a section on criticism and views on twitch gameplay? --Tumthe3 (talk) 00:42, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Horribly Biased Section[edit]

Someone just rewrite the whole "Twitch in Shooters" deal, or delete it completely. Here's the roundup of it. First it attempts to set "strategy" and "twitch" as two subcategories of a higher category. It makes it as though they directly outweigh each other, which doesn't make sense. Next it suddenly confuses twitch gameplay to panicking. Twitch merely means you can turn and move really fast, in twitchy motions. It makes it out to seem that twitching is when you freak out when someone sneaks up on you and you pull out the wrong weapon and start shooting around randomly. Lastly it blatantly says that people who play twitch shooters have no skill or life, in a long drawn out manner.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.38.11.51 (talkcontribs) 07:12, 5 June 2012‎ (UTC)[reply]

Thoroughly agreed, this section contains not a single reference and is written in laughably biased tone and rhetoric. I second deleting it entirely. 177.62.244.84 (talk) 18:08, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
