[edit]That is one bad and disgusting picture.
I have had a tympanoplasty, but my doctor used a graft of cartilege from my outer ear, specifically the small flange that partially covers the earhole. I don't have a medical degree, so I was wondering if this is a legitimate way of doing a tympanoplasty, and if so, someone should edit this article.
--- I became deaf in one ear after I had my second tympanoplasty because a nerve was unexplainable completely destroyed. None of the surgeries was successful.
