One of many...

[edit]

This is a bio of Tynetta Muhammad so to me the sentence is not relevant, as it's not really an important part of her life. This info is already in the Elijah M bio. Njsamizdat (talk) 13:08, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"She mistakenly predicted the world would end in 2001"

[edit]

Is there a reference for this? If not, perhaps it should be removed. RashidanScholar127 (talk) 16:25, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You could have easily found one. Paul B (talk) 20:07, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Christopher Muhammad

[edit]

An IP (Special:Contributions/70.186.188.169) made a slew of edits, most of which just created a mess - especially the attempt to link to a picture of Tynnetta. The edits included removing content cited to New York Magazine asserting that Christopher Muhammad is a son of Elijah and Tynnetta. This is a basically reliable source, but having looked at this, it seems to be true that other sources are inconsistent with it, including the report of TM's funeral in The Final Call, and this article [1], which includes an interview with Christopher Muhammad which refers to his giving "a sobering account of how his father developed esophageal cancer after years working as a bus mechanic". That's clearly not Elijah. Also all Elijah's and Tynnetta's children have "Islamic" names, while Christopher is an explicitly Christian name. The cited New York Magazine article also says that Christopher introduced Farrakhan at the Million Man March, but that was Ishmael Muhammad, not Christopher. Ishmael is a son of Elijah and Tynnetta, so it looks like the magazine simply got the names mixed up. So I will be removing his name from the article and amending the Christopher Muhammad article. intimate relationship with Rev. Clegg - Is this vandalism?

[edit]

There is no information about any intimate relationship with anyone named Rev. Clegg. I assume this refers to Rev. Albert Cleage, whose church she attended in her youth according to this Final Call article. But alleging someone had an illicit affair with no date, no citations and incorrect spelling is grounds for deletion. Also the next sentence claiming that her son resembles Rev "Clegg" (sic) is by no means valid evidence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CarlSerafino (talkcontribs) 15:17, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
