I see a lot of references to the so called Biscayne Wall, in articles about Miami, downtown neighborhoods, etc. All links to "Biscayne Wall" redirect here. Yet there's nothing in this article on US Route 1 in Florida about the "Biscayne Wall". Yes I do know what the reference implies, those 3-4 buildings on Biscayne Boulevard across from the American Airlines Arena, that someone started calling a 'wall' of buildings. There's no page for "Biscayne Wall", why does it redirect here? 1305cj (talk) 16:28, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
- The page 'Biscayne Wall' was redirected to a section of U.S. Route 1 in Florida that has no relevance or context to the subject WP:ROC, as there is no mention at all of "Biscayne Wall" on any section of U.S._Route_1_in_Florida#Miami-Dade_County. Nor should there be as it's most likely original research with no verifiability. It's a cleverly coined phrase WP:A11 not credible in the article about U.S. Route 1. 1305cj (talk) 23:15, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
- Recommend adding a sentence about the Biscayne Wall here or in the Miami, Florida article (and change the redirect). Looks like some hits on a Google search of the subject, so it might be good to mention it somewhere. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 10:23, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- Those hits were probably all me last week, trying to find something about it. These terms, 'walls', 'canyons' etc. are coined phrases usually made up by anti-development types to disparage building tall buildings. That's about all that can be written about it, and even that, admittedly, would be considered original research as there's no verifiable source. So a redirect doesn't belong here on U.S. Route 1, or Miami, or downtown Miami or Biscayne Bay, or Manhattanization, or building boom, or any number of other articles. 1305cj (talk) 18:59, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
