Salvaged from deletion[edit]

Perhaps I should have nominated this article for deletion. It was wrong and/or seriously misleading. By my count, 30 states have similar requirements (out of 45 with income tax), not just the few mentioned. Numerous SCt decisions indicate that such a tax must be merely a prepayment to be determined under the states normal rules to avoid being prima facie discriminatory. I think my edit gets this to an acceptable stub. I am still willing to go with deletion if anyone wants to propose such. Oldtaxguy (talk) 19:27, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
