Avoid vagueness please

[edit]

I think the phrase "...widespread criticism among prominent environmental figures." is both weasel and peacock language. We need to name at least some of these figures - wasn't there a letter to The Times or The Independent about this that could be cited? Similarly, the phrase "...significant job losses" is vague and not a NPOV. A single job loss is significant to the person made redundant, one thousand job losses in Detroit may be insignificant to a barman in Stockholm. Deditos 09:01, 26 June 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Monks Wood

[edit]

"Monks Wood Experimental Station" redirects to this article, but it is not mentioned here. Does anyone know the link? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:07, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Monks Wood is a CEH monitoring site. It specialises in animal taxa and vegetation monitoring. Poltair (talk) 14:01, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

History; Notable people and References overwritten by major edit on 16:58, 3 December 2019‎

[edit]

In a major edit on 16:58,3 December 2019 Simon Williams1 deleted two-thirds of the article, deleting much of the History section, several people in the Notable people section and most of the References. Surely this cannot have been what was intended. If there was a good reason for this, please post it here. Otherwise I propose to reinstate the additional material on or about 20 th December. The History and Notable People deletions have now been reinstated DavidGSDavies (talk) 17:08, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
