Catalan Speaking World
[edit]I am sad, that Catalan is not spoken anymore in the southwest of France, yet calling USA Perpignan a club member of the "catalan speaking world" (whatever that is) is just false. In line with that flam, the link to the official Perpignan site says the page would be in French and in Catalan. Of course, the site is only in French, nobody there speaks Catalan. Again, a pity, but I rate accuracy higher than my daydreams.
- I agree with that. Relatively few people understand Catalan (less than one third officially) and almost nobody speaks Catalan in Perpignan, it is just like that. I find a bit problematic to describe the club a "Catalan nationalist icon" as there is no "Catalan nationalist issue" in France. The situation in France is completely different from Spanish Calalunya where Catalans see themselves as a nation different from Castillans. In France it is just a regional identity. I think that describing the USAP as a "nationalist icon" is not in line with the principe of neutrality. I suggest to change this.Gpeilon (talk) 16:35, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
The name of the team is USAP
[edit]Sorry but the name of the team is USAP, and not USA Perpignan. It's an acronym of "Union Sportive Arlequine Perpignan". Please, can you change the title of the article? Thanks.
