My freind David Krenke[edit]

Does anyone have any info on my friend David Krenke? He died at 23 years of lukemia in the uscg. He was ltjg,having attending ocs. He was damage contorlman by trade. I'm sorry, I don't have any info on D. Krenke; was he tied to the cutter in any way, other than active duty service? I'm currently stationed on the cutter, is anyone (with more info than me) going to update on the Decommissioning? It happened Friday, 11MAR11 around 1513. You can verify by my IP address I think, I'm a legit source. Thanks,

Shipboard Crane Operator[edit]

I was stationed on the ole girl from Jan 1972 to Sept 1974. Just a simple E-3 Seaman, enjoyed the special job we had working w/ NOAA and the National Data Buoy Project. We slowly towed those things out into the Gulf of Mex and as far away, thru the Bermuda Tri to the southeast US Atlantic Coast. We got to be known as 'the Pirates of the Caribbean'.
