Discipline?[edit]

The "aftermath" section does not mention the Enterprise's captain; indeed, the only mention of him in the whole text says that he continued the turn into the wind. It seems likely that his career was affected by this incident. What happened to him? --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 02:24, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing percentages[edit]

This passage is confusing, at best, and perhaps downright wrong:

"The investigation further revealed that only 50 percent of the ship's crew and none of the air wing had attended firefighting school. Qualified firefighters had been casualties in the Forrestal accident, and untrained individuals had taken their place. When the Enterprise fire erupted, 96 percent of the ship's crew had attended firefighting training, along with 86 percent of the air wing."

So, how much of Enterprise′s crew had firefighting training? Was it 50% or 96%? And for the air wing, was it 0% or 86%?

Is this supposed to say that none of Forrestal′s air wing had firefighting training, but that 86% of Enterprise′s air wing did? Earendur (talk) 15:15, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
