Mizar "class"

[edit]

Co-mingling of a "class" article with a ship article is not normal practice. In addition there appears to be no formal Navy designation of the ships as a "class" in the usual sense. The fact they were all built to a common commercial design, with small variations allowed by the two builders, and formed a company designated class made them in effect a class functioning within the Navy's needs, i.e., a group with common maintenance, parts, equipment and functional parameters. The "class" portion should probably be split from the Navy's lead ship — though not for the actual "class" as defined for the company — and expanded a bit for links from the other ships of the group. Edits in that section are intended to facilitate such a split. Palmeira (talk) 15:59, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
