The photograph in this article, labeled: "USS S-48 (same class as S-4)" is a lousy illustration for this article, because, as can be seen on the S-class submarine page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_S-class_submarine), that 'class' of submarines actually consisted of several different designs, and the S-4 was NOT the same design as the S-48. Just look at the differences in displacement, length, and armament between this page and the S-48's page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_S-48_(SS-159)).
Photographs of the actual S-4 can be found at this page: http://www.navsource.org/archives/08/08109.htm
I don't know how to change photographs on this site, I hardly ever edit things here, so I'm leaving this here for a regular to see and fix. 2604:6000:1411:5FD:9498:4DA8:C6E:61C5 (talk) 02:30, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
