Assessment as of March 2007

[edit]

Hello all, and thank you for contributing to this school site. I'm part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Assessment team, and, as requested, I'm reviewing this page. I'm currently giving it a grade of Start on the Wikipedia 1.0 Assessment Scale and an importance of Mid on this importance scale.

My reasoning is as follows: This article needs more information and should be organized into sections. It also needs pictures Adam McCormick 04:44, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Value of certain Content

[edit]

Is there really any need to tell people the current principal is Hugh Henerby? And that he replaced craig pamphilon. Also do we really need to include a paragraph saying the college has many qualified teachers and a variety of departments. I think most people would realise that a college is going to have this, it comes across as advertising. Also would it be possible at some point to tidy the article up and put it into categories? I welcome anyone's views on this.03jmgibbens (talk) 09:05, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lists of staff are unencyclopaedic, unmaintainable and easily resolved by supplying a link to the College staff page. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Common_outcomes#Education for some general guidance. The Principal might be reasonably argued to be notable, this ought to be supported by an independent reliable source, for example a newspaper article about the school and its current Principal rather than just the College website. Categories and other improvements can be flagged but the vast majority of institution articles are poor quality and unmaintained. (talk) 09:38, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lists of names

[edit]

Lists of names in this article should be sourced in accordance with WP:BLP. As there is no way of constantly maintaining linked articles, this applies to names which have a Wikipedia article as well as those that do not. Any name listed with no verifiable citations should be removed. Refer to WP:NLIST for guidance. (talk) 09:32, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
