Historical Accuracy and Significance

There are lingering doubts about the historical accuracy of this figure from the sources provided, or the existence of many of the things mentioned in this article, outside of some stories in various epics that seem to have been written.

Some of these issues are amplified by the fact that is no Japanese Wikipedia Article for this person. She is also not mentioned in any quoted historical record here, evidenced by the lack of sourced cite notes that reference any published works (or, in fact, any references at all in some of the cited web pages). The Japanese Wikipedia article for Ueno Takatoshi (上野高利) that was mentioned, to the best of my knowledge, does not even exist (If it does, please do link it here so that people can view and discuss it).

It is difficult to argue that this is a significant "person" if there is no detailed historical record of the conflict that she was involved in on even the Japanese Wikipedia, and if no historical records of the castle where this battle was fought, her birth, death, or even her own husband exist.

I also notice that there has not even been any efforts to write these articles in the English language Wikipedia, which again makes me question why there has been such a seeming fixation on this singular article.

I have yet to find a historical record of any kind that mentions this woman, and I have not encountered any record of this woman outside of epics, legends, or seemingly unsourced embellishments. I will investigate the source of some of these cite notes further.

In the meantime, while there appear to be web sources that seem to reference some information, more quality sources are needed, as the pages do not meet Wikipedia's standards, due to the fact that some of the "sources" have no references.

If there are any historical sources available, then please do add them, and if there is any historical Japanese literature that may change the subject of this article to a legendary figure instead, please add them also, so that more light can be shed upon the nature of this article's subject.

I have acquired a copy of the work published by Steven Turnbull that was referenced, and I have read the passage in question. The anecdote about her family's sword has been removed, as it doesn't appear in the published work referenced. I have also added some more information from the passage.

I am currently looking through the bibliography listed for any more sources. In the absence of any primary sources, or any further sources that reference their content, there are a few more things that need to be checked before I make any more edits.
