Kiev, not Kyiv[edit]

Can anyone explain why my edits to the page keep getting reverted? The sidebar lists the formations headquarters as being in 'Kyiv' while sitewide guidelines state that the preferred English language name for the city is 'Kiev.' I've been trying to correct this, but it keeps getting reverted. Why is this change being undone? 100.14.87.173 (talk) 19:46, 3 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

English language patch[edit]
