NPOV[edit]

This article needs to be edited with sources and references. Right now, it's clearly in violation of WP:NPOV, which requires that articles maintain a neutral point of view. Granted, there might not be much information disputing the claims that this is a virus, trojan, etc - but making those claims without references is what violates NPOV. Disagree[edit]

The is no dispute of NPOV when it comes to a malicious virus. Should I depict it in a sunny and fuzzy bunny sort of way..... NO!!!! It is what it is. Sourcing is on its way give me some time please I JUST added it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wjmummert (talkcontribs) 18:30, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My issue was with the language - for example, calling it a malicious virus is biased, because a) being a virus implies malice, and b) we can't declare it malicious without a source. A security website like McAfee might do so - and then we can make the claim here. All I saw was software that you as an individual claimed was a trojan, malicious, etc. It might well be, and I'm obviously not as familiar with the topic as you - but I couldn't judge without the sources. As you say, it's a new article, so it's changing as it goes. No problem. ZZ Claims ~ Evidence 12:47, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
...So I got WP:BOLD and cleared the issues I saw. I used your version as a template, but tried to neutralize everything. Even with all that, it's still a pretty clear indictment on the sketchiness of this particular software. I also added references to Symantec, as the previous references to forums and google would have been deleted. They pointed me in the right direction, though. It's gone![edit]

The whole 'Ultimate' suite by Nous-Tech won't be distributed via Ucleaner.com/Ufixer.com/Udefender.com. It's amazing what actually sending in abuse emails and phoning their hosting company will do. 204.112.222.153 (talk) 17:04, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
