Merge[edit]

Umbro is an English sports firm and these two should be merged under UMBRA

It would make sense to merge both of the sections

This article resembles a press kit[edit]

Significant chunks of this article sound as if they have been cut-and-pasted from an Umbro press kit. It should be rewritten from a neutral standpoint. Andyswatson (talk) 07:34, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Specifically "Today, the brand has been reinvigorated by an association with American sportswear giants Nike. Buying Umbro in 2008, Nike have helped Umbro to re-energise and to use their illustrious heritage to inspire their current designs[dubious – discuss]. Currently supplying tailored kits to England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Manchester City, Rangers, Blackburn Rovers and many more, Umbro are a prominent name in the world of football culture." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.142.7.68 (talk) 02:38, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

About Sponsoring Chinese Taipei NT[edit]

According to some local sources the sponsorship was a decision solely made by Umbro branch company in China. Now as the situations are not clear yet, I removed it temporarily. Midmaestro 15:24, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sponsorships[edit]

What on earth is the value of the huge list of sponsorships, let alone the request to expand it? Tb (talk) 21:25, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reference soccer instead of football in U.S.[edit]

For paragraphs and sentences referencing the U.S. market the word "soccer" should be used instead of "football" as Thia company has never made U.S. football apparel. Football and soccer in the U.S. are two different sports. This distinction should be made in anything referencing their U.S. marketing. Brotato5797 (talk) 08:25, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

If “Umbro’ is a type of portmanteau word, what are the elements that go into making it? What does it mean? 2601:647:5800:7D80:64C6:55FA:48D2:417D (talk) 20:23, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
