GA review

[edit]

Hello once again, and here are the comments of the Rambling jury...

  • I'm sure I've said it before, and I'm sure I've been told off for saying so, but I do hate (see x in music) when we have the beautiful [[x in music|x]] piping. But I'm fully aware I don't know all Wikiprojects manuals of style.
  • Lead says pop song, infobox says pop, raggae and ska. Slight inconsistency.
  • First para of Music video has no citation, even if only to quote Muller as the director.

Wow, desperation to find something to comment against! I'll put it on hold awaiting responses to above but this is as close as it gets to straight off GA. Good work. The Rambling Man 18:52, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, WP:MUSTARD recommends against piping the links. Though it might be a good idea for WPP:MUSIC to discuss that again since you're not the first person to mention that. I put pop in the lead sentence since adding en dashes or slashes (IMHO) makes it look a little sloppy, and the song is best known by people who listen to pop music rather than reggae or ska. If you think it'd be an improvement, I'll change it to reggae–pop. It's actually a good thing you did come up with these comments though, because in looking for a source with Muller as director (I forgot she co-directed with Logan on this one), I found an interview published less than a month ago, so I've added the citation and expanded the section. The rest of the paragraph doesn't need to be cited since it's inherently reference to the video itself. 17Drew 20:25, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the delay in responding, my short holiday got in the way of finishing the review. I've brought the general argument of using piped "..in music" links to the attention of the music wikiproject but in the meantime have no objection in promoting the article to GA. Good work. Ska Song Playing In Intro

[edit]

There is an old first wave ska song playing behind Bob Clarke's spoken intro/outro. Shouldn't the artist be credited? Does anyone know the title/artist? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.57.19.250 (talk) 15:22, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Underneath It All

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Underneath It All's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "AMG":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 13:57, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
