Contested deletion

Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... They have released the artwork for their debut single yesterday, and have confirmed the title of their first single, "Carry You". This page also contains information which is not included in the "The X Factor Finalists" page. --LauraPalmerCA (talk) 12:47, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... This page is not unsourced, I am continuing to add more sources and references now. --LauraPalmerCA (talk) 13:00, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Whoever edited this page, please do not touch what I have done. I have worked incredibly hard to gather all of this information, and it is very irritating that someone has come along and tweaked pieces of my article. I am not a control freak, and would gladly accept any changes that would benefit this article. Thank-you very much for adding a photo, but please could you edit the title of the article so that the 'J' in 'Union J' is capitalized the way it should be. Thank-you x — Preceding unsigned comment added by LauraPalmerCA (talk • contribs) 19:37, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- I "tweaked" it because some of it is a little bit inaccurate. Just a small tidy-up. Unreal7 (talk) 23:13, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
User - Please Read This!
[edit]Hello user who is also editing this page. I realise that I may come across as a little possessive of this article, but I did all the hard work by creating it, and it is rather annoying that somebody keeps tweaking little parts of the article. I want to work with you though, not against you, so if you wish to change anything that you feel would be of benefit to this article, please talk to me, and I'm sure we can compromise on something. LauraPalmerCA (talk) 15:20 18 April 2013 (UTC)
- It's me, and I was clearing it up because it was untidy. Nothing is inaccurate about it btw, and you actually DO come across rather possessive. Unreal7 (talk) 17:37, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Really? I'm very sorry you feel like that, I am honestly not. Are you a fan of Union J too? LauraPalmerCA (talk) 18:07, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- There's fans and then there's crazy people. Unreal7 (talk) 21:42, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- The way you do this article is a little bit messy, I'm just making it more like other X Factor articles. Also stop putting in underscores, spaces are used. Unreal7 (talk) 08:42, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
I have taken on board what you have said, and have edited the page to take on board the points that you have brought up. I have taken out all of the underscores you mentioned, and replaced them with spaces. Please let me know what you think of these changes and let me know if you feel there is anything else that can be done to improve the article. (talk) 15:20 18 April 2013 (UTC)
Redirected
[edit]I have redirected this because they are not yet notable outside of The X Factor, so the list entry is fine for now. If their single charts, then the article can be recreated. See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fifth Harmony (2nd nomination), a recent deletion debate for an X Factor band in the US, the same should apply here. –anemoneprojectors– 15:16, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
Their ages??
[edit]Their ages in this article contradict their ages in the list of X Factor finalists, some of them stated they were over the age of 20 when they were on the show, yet this lists them as much younger. Do they have a case of Benjamin Button or something? Livin'InAGhostTown (talk) 18:42, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
Editing - Members Section
[edit]Please do not continually update small pieces of information/facts about each band member which is not relevant/significant to the article. Txs. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by NotoriousCA (talk • contribs) 17:20, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Dreelan bunged 10g's
[edit]Just in case anyone was wondering what happened to Blair Dreelan as manager... He got a £10,000 payoff from Sony. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.73.179.138 (talk) 08:43, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
No one cares how bitter you are, Blair. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drmstwizard (talk • contribs) 14:08, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
Missing Information
[edit]This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
The listing of Union J's Awards received and nominated is incomplete and excludes their recent BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards Best British Breakthrough Act win, Josh Cuthbert's #1 ranking on Capital FM list of 20 Sexiest Men In pop for 2013, and their fourth place finish on X Factor. The sections on members are also missing vital biographical information, including JJ Hamblett's fatherhood. Drmstwizard (talk) 14:06, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide specific details of what needs to be added where, and please give reliable sources for each addition. Thanks. --Stfg (talk) 18:06, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Please change "are due to release their debut studio album Union J on 28 October 2013" to "released their debut studio album Union J on 28 October 2013" 5.70.64.235 (talk) 10:16, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
- Partly done: I've changed it to say that it has been released, since the source now makes that clear, but I haven't included the release date, since the source doesn't give it. The exact release date probably isn't interesting, but if you want it included, please provide a source. In the discography, I've simply removed that line. Thanks. --Stfg (talk) 16:11, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
Request
[edit]I've been following this page for a long time, and I think in requesting to clean George's biography because I don't think his love life is relevant at least if he's not in a serious relationship like JJ and Jaymi. Karlitatv (talk) 18:40, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Jaymi Hensley engagement date
[edit]Jaymi Hensley's section under "Members" has some conflicting information and redundancy at the start and end of it.
"Hensley has been in a relationship with Olly Marmon since 2009[51] and proposed to him in 2010.[52]" near the beginning (also, this link seems to now just redirect to Cosmopolitan's UK homepage).
"Hensley has been in a long-term relationship with Olly Marmon since 24 September 2009. They became engaged in 2014." towards the end.
I don't know which is correct, so somebody who's interested in the research could/should probably get to the bottom of it and clean that up. The dead link on the first section claiming they were engaged in 2009 was written in 2014, maybe that's the confusion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.143.120.231 (talk) 12:48, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
