Number of years of absense

@Bbt4000: There is a difference between number of years since their last presence and number of years of absence. Their presence ended in 2005 (17 years ago) and their absence started in 2006 (16 years ago). The text clearly talks about absence, although we could also change the wording if you insist.

It's easier to understand if the timespan is short: let's say the UK had last participated in 2020. That's two years ago, but it's only one year of absence (in 2021). The same reasoning applies in this case: it's sixteen years of absence (2006–2021). ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 00:21, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
