Untitled

[edit]

I've lost the plot on this one. This'll take hours to sort out the sequence of bodies. Here is a resolution establishing that crime prevention unit. United Nations General Assembly Session 46 Resolution 152. A/RES/46/152 Retrieved 2007-11-16. Goatchurch 10:37, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just noting that the File:UNODC logo.svg, which was recently removed, will be deleted after a week, if it is not used in this article. So if anyone feels it should be there then add it back soon! —Quibik (talk) 10:34, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

UNODC nota an Agency

[edit]

The article is wrong. The UNODC is not an Agency strictly speaking because it id not dully independent. It acts under the impressionability of the UNSG. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.81.91.188 (talk) 08:34, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy

[edit]

This isn't really controversy about UNODC, more about Iran.

"In June 2012, Mohammad Reza Rahimi the Iranian Vice President made some extremely controversial remarks during a speech at a UNODC Drugs and Crime conference in Tehran.[17]

“ "The Islamic Republic of Iran will pay for anybody who can research and find one single Zionist who is an addict. They do not exist," he said. "This is the proof of their involvement in drugs trade."[18] ” He then went on to blame the Talmud, a key Jewish religious text, for the expansion of illegal drugs around the world and said that it teaches to "destroy everyone who opposes the Jews."[19]" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.138.94.10 (talk) 09:09, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this controversy should be included in the article. Ravings of one person doesn't represent UNODC and has undue weight in the article.--Custoo (talk) 19:05, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
