Keeping ARCYBER and 2nd Army Separate[edit]

I figured I'd kick the ball on this. Someone will eventually ask if the ARCYBER and 2nd Army Article should be merged. My gut instinct is that they should stay separate. ARCYBER as a name, may fade into something else in the future, but 2nd Army has already been resurrected a few times. Should the articles be kept separate? INSCOM relationship to 1st IO CMD (L) and 780th MI Brigade[edit]

I am curious about the reporting relationship of 1st Information Operations Command and the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade. Both the commands seem related to INSCOM but I think they may both OPCON to Army Cyber. I've done some digging to figure out their reporting relationship, but I haven't been able to find any public references yet. Is anyone else aware of a public reference on the 1st IO CMD (L) and 780th MI Brigade reporting relationships? TIA Rbcwa (talk) 19:21, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Theoretically, all Army Cyber units fall under ARCYBER. Intel units may additionally fall under INSCOM. Reporting requirements would likely depend on the mission. For Cyber actions they would report to ARCYBER, for intel issues, INSCOM. Again, this is my opinion, from my experience. Sephiroth storm (talk) 14:42, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
