University World News is a serious operation with 11,000 academic subscribers who are professionally affected by the pace of globalisation in higher education. It strikes me as worth including, not least because entirely similar publications, such as Inside Higher Ed (www.insidehighered.com) and the THE (www.the.co.uk) are apparently valid entries. But this is Wikipedia so by all means, if you have looked at the publication (www.universityworldnews.com) and democratically decide that American and English interests are more worthy of inclusion in a global encyclopaedia than African or Asian interests, kill the article.
- The reason you suggest is not a valid reason to delete this article -- what IS a valid reason is that the notability is not especially asserted (except on the talk page) and that notability is not bolstered by any reliable sources in a verifiable way. If you were to provide references citing the notability of the topic, that would go a long way towards saving the article from deletion. Accounting4Taste:talk 14:51, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
