Scope of article[edit]

This article may have a problem in that it is difficult to define the start and end dates of an offensive as opposed to an operation. Geographically it can be said to have started at the point Russian forces entered Upper Silesia which would have been towards the end of Jan 1945, and continued until end of hostilities on its territory (end of war). This would make for instance the casualty figures far greater than those given for the relatively short period in mid March 1945.1812ahill (talk) 21:05, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The text and place names in both map images are in the Cyrillic alphabet. Can anyone find maps with Latin lettering, which would be easier for English-speaking readers? Foreignshore (talk) 02:41, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
