This is not encyclopedic. Could the person who wrote this not have done a better job ?! It is near impossible to rectify without a total re-write. Gah! Unflavoured 10:18, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've copyedited the article to bring it more into line with standard Wikipedia pages and to help explain the meaning of the doctrine and opposing views. Hope this addresses your issue. Feel free to edit it yourself if you feel it needs additional work. Euryalus (talk) 01:00, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tag removal[edit]

I have removed a couple of tags as follows:

  • Point of View - whoever added this tag didn't indicate what their concerns were regarding the neutrality of the page. As the article has been extensively rewritten since the tag was added in December 2007, I assume the unstated objection is no longer valid. If anyone has a problem with the neutrality of the article, feel free to re-add the tag but make sure you explain what the problem is here on the talk page.
  • Copyedit - the article was in serious need of a copyedit. This has no occurred so I have removed the tag.
  • Expand (in sections) - two sections were marked for expansion, but the entire article needs expanding so I have relocated this tag to the top of the page.
  • Quotefarm - in its earlier version the article contained too many quotes. Now it contains one - the isnad blockquote in the second section. This seems reasonable, so I have removed the quotefarm tag.

As always, opposing comments or views are welcome. Euryalus (talk) 01:07, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't believe the topic is sufficiently notable to merit a separate article - these things should be mentioned in Sahaba where they can be quite literally covered in a few sentences. As I feel that this is quite an unnecessary fork, I'll be adding a prod tag. If it's contested then it can go to AfD. Regards, ITAQALLAH 23:59, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
