Rudeness of AN(Ger)

So I try translating this article into German and posting it on German Wikipedia. I'll admit, my German is rather rusty, and I had to use a dictionary to translate certain words. So along comes AN(Ger), jumping down my throat about how lousy my article is and summarily deleting it, then removing my link here with a cripey remark. Well, excuuuuse me. Maybe instead of being such a petty little martinet, AN(Ger), you could've edited it and made it better. Salinger

J. D. Salinger went to Valley Forge Military Academy before he went to Ursinus, not afterwards. He went to VFMA for 11th and 12th grades. He enrolled in New York University as a freshmen, left to travel to Europe, then went to Ursinus, then dropped out and attended night classes at Columbia University. I have, accordingly, removed the section about Salinger attending VFMA after Ursinus, as it's patently false. Salinger's academic history is well documented in Ian Hamilton's literary biography.207.69.137.38 01:03, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

One legend on campus is that Salinger modeled the school Caulfield attended on Ursinus. That, in itself, may be true, but we add a detail to that legend that is completely made up. And that is that Salinger even mentions the old elm tree that grew in the end zone of our football field. It's a neat little story that we tell the underclassmen, but of course there is no such reference in the novel.

Pres. Brock Blomberg Article

Hello! I'm Tom and I work for Ursinus College (as I state on my profile page and at Talk:Brock Blomberg). I've made a Wikipedia account to address some inaccurate and (what I believe to be) misleading information in the article about the college's president, Brock Blomberg. I have two outstanding requests: the first is to remove misinterpreted text, and the second is to add what I think are well-documented and properly sourced details about his career. Most recently, I reached out for help at the biography of living persons noticeboard, and at WikiProjects Education and Pennsylvania, but I have not yet received a reply.

Might any editors monitoring the Ursinus College article be willing to take a look and update the Brock Blomberg article on my behalf? I'm avoiding editing the article directly because of my conflict of interest. Thanks in advance for your assistance--or any guidance you're willing to provide. History

Hello, the history section of this article is set up very odd. Most pages on Wikipedia set up history in a paragraph type format not year by year timeline type. Any agreement or dissension to conform with normal style? Etineskid(talk) 16:43, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
