Utica Zoo[edit]

Dream Big Master Plan[edit]

The Utica Zoo has a dream big master plan with about 1, 3, 5, 10, and 20 year goals. Includes animal additions like giraffe, black bear, otters, tigers and orangutan. Though it 's unclear whether they will have Hippopotamuses, Penguins, Koalas or Meerkats or not, they will never have Elephants, Polar bears, Whales or Dolphins. IceKevtheElephant (talk) 18:08, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Death of Minona[edit]

1962, 1989 and 2022[edit]

In 1962, the Utica Zoo adopted an orphaned Asian Elephant, Annie, after her herd was killed by Nazi bombs. In 1989, Poco, a Polar bear, died from old age, and in 2022, Zara the Hartmann's Mountain Zebra was born to Rundu and Zecora. IceKevtheElephant (talk) 21:11, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
