Subjective text[edit]

That passage about "at least the Communists...." is not wikipedia-like in style, and in any case needs a citation. Not sure how to edit it, though. Any suggestions welcome, & thanks, DJRafe 20:05, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Caption for Concert Programme Image[edit]

Although no model of clarity, the caption for the image of a Talich concert programme seems to suggest that the concert included the premiere of Dvorak's piano concerto. That suggestion is clearly false: the concert was decades later than the work's composition, and Wikipedia's own article on the work states, "The work was premiered in Prague on March 24, 1878, with the orchestra of the Prague Provisional Theatre conducted by Adolf Cech with the Czech pianist Karel Slavkovsky." For now, I will try to clean up the caption to eliminate the misleading suggestion, but I'm writing here to call attention to the matter and plead for someone more knowledgeable of the Czech language and the history reflected in this programme to improve it beyond what I can do. A bit of further reading, specifically in the article about pianist Kurzová, clarifies matters: the premiere was not of the concerto itself, but rather of an edition revised by Vilém Kurz, the pianist's father. I've further revised the caption accordingly. Drhoehl (talk) 20:24, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
