Baia is not "Player with most titles won ever"

[edit]

I didn't want to just edit the article but Vitor Baia is not, as it was claimed so loudly by Portuguese press, the Player with most titles won ever, and, in fact, he never was. I suggest that the WikiProject Portugal takes a look at Hossam_Hassan. Winning a "lower profile" title doesn't necessarily mean less than winning a the Champions League. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lrpires (talkcontribs) 02:50, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More information needed on him as a sportsman

[edit]

I believe this page could be improved to show his carreer as a sportsman. It goes off too much to explain the current controversy on him not being called for the national team...

The article may be improved by following the WikiProject Biography 11 easy steps to producing at least a B article.-- Jreferee 18:27, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:9729940541.jpeg

[edit]

Image:9729940541.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 02:16, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can not understand why the user Dantetheperuvian insists deleting his Uefa Super Cup of his honors. The only argument he give me is that he didn't play the game because he was injuried. The same situacion that happened to Pique and Puyol in the last 2011 Uefa Super cup and nobody has any doubt that this title will appear always in their honours. Same situacion as Henry in 2007 or Gerrard in 2005 and infinite number of players, in all the cases the title appears. Because is generally established that every player that it's part of a champions teams it's as champions as everybody else playing or not. He recieves a medal champion in football events, a ring champion in NBA in all the sports it's the same. There is absolutly no motive to remove nothing. 79.159.175.114 (talk) 18:49, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

UEFA and the Portuguese media claim 31 titles won by Baía in 2007 and, previously, 26 in 2004 before the UEFA Super Cup. These counts did not include the 1997 UEFA Super Cup. If you are not agree, talk about this in Project Football and wait any decision.--Dantetheperuvian (talk) 22:44, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
UEFA? Portuguese media? I only see one article in a website. Do you thinks that the journalist that made it wanted to establish how many title he has won? Even in this case, the number wouldn't be correct because not taking acount the European Super cup is still 32 titles and not 31. Beside the article not say in any moment that this title is not in his honours. Say me why we should remove this tiltle? Why when in all the other same cases with other players wikipedia didn't remove their titles? Only because you want? --88.12.147.192 (talk) 01:08, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Loans

[edit]

Baia was loaned to Porto while contracted to Barcelona before returning there permanently. The bio mentions this but it should be shown as such in the infobox and career stats tables. Crowsus (talk) 08:49, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
