Door Ons Vrienden Opgericht → VV DOVO

– Door Ons Vrienden Opgericht, although the official long-form, is hardly ever used. VV DOVO is closer to the most common name (DOVO) and used alongside this name. Just to clarify why the discussion went to Talk:VV DOVO. Someone had tried to make the change I am suggesting by copy and paste. This was correctly undone but perhaps not all the way. ~~Support.~~ It doesn't require any discussion to turn a redirect into a disambiguation page, so I've done that without prejudice to this discussion. As it stands, it appears that DOVO Solingen gets a supermajority of hits, and not many came via the redirect. Hi Trains2050, I have to disagree with you on this one. By your own comparison, DOVO Solingen receives substantially more hits. Now this comparison isn't all telling, so I looked at the top 10 news items, where hl=us (sample could be biased in NL and DE). The results were 7 out of 10 DOVO Solingen, 2 out of 10 VV DOVO, and 1 out 10 carries another meaning (related to a university). gidonb (talk) 09:34, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
