Inaccurate photo[edit]
The photo of Ronald Fisher shows him having facial hair on his cheeks when the definition of a Van Dyke Beard states that the cheeks are clean shaven. If anyone can correct this or prove me wrong, please do so.

Spelling conventions[edit]
The original artist was called Van Dyck, and the beard is sometimes spelled in this way, so I'm going to add that spelling to other possible spelling conventions. See here: Life magazine beards. --Jwslubbock (talk) 11:55, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

- That's not the same at all "The goatee appears as it grows naturally. The more natural the better! The goatee and moustache may be maintained but without any styling aids." The VD beard is trimmed and often pointed, & I would imagine requires plenty of "styling aids". Johnbod (talk) 18:37, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
