Fishkill Supply Depot Soldiers Cemetery location

[edit]

I visited this cemetery just yesterday on a walking tour, part of the Fishkill Historical Society and the Friends of the Fishkill Supply Depot's annual "Revolutionary War Weekend". The site, at the intersection of present-day Rt 9 and Van Wyck Lake Road, was excavated in 2007. Seven Revolutionary War era graves were opened at that time. Ground penetrating radar has discovered from 500 to 1000 graves at the site. The Friends of the Fishkill Supply Depot is striving to purchase an 11 acre lot that includes the cemetery and other ruins associated with the Fishkill Supply Depot. Information can be found on the website of the Friends of the Fishkill Supply website and Facebook page: http://www.fishkillsupplydepot.org/index.html ; http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Friends-of-the-Fishkill-Supply-Depot/121149161835?ref=ts%C2%A0created%C2%A0by Also, see the Fishkill Historical Society, Owner of the Van Wyck Homestead: http://fishkillhistoricalsociety.org/ Thanks, Wordreader (talk) 04:59, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that the cemetery information in the article was added on 21 July 2006 and has remained unchanged. Wordreader (talk) 05:09, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
