Sectional wounds
What are "sectional wounds"? This is in the lead paragraph:
- "Vanderbilt hoped that his gift and the greater work of the university would help to heal the sectional wounds inflicted by the Civil War.[6]"
(The link for the footnote is defunct.) I've never heard this phrase. It kind of sounds like academic-speak. Inscribement (talk) 08:48, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
