Discussion on move

[edit]

Reasons given below for denying the move to the correct name are entirely incorrect. There is FCJ College, Benalla and Genazzano FCJ College as an example. The name to all past students, teachers and of course, the founders is Vaucluse College FCJ. It is referred to in all historical directories as Vaucluse College FCJ and is not just the acronym of those that ran the school but the actual name. It needs to be in the title because as it is, Vaucluse College is incorrect. FCJ is common speech for anyone who refers to the school - even if it is not thought so by those editing. P

Also, this is severely affecting the use of wikipedia on social networking sites where there is now multiple incorrect names for the school because of erroneous editing by users who do not properly research their changes before making them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jenellecleary (talkcontribs) 22:03, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

– The correct name for the school is Vaucluse College FCJ. It is referred to in all documentation as Vaucluse College FCJ, thus needs to be fixed. Thanks! Jenellecleary (talk) 17:28, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose as per WP:COMMONNAME. No one will say or use "FCJ" in common speech. -- P 1 9 9 • TALK 12:49, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as above. FCJ is not an acronym known to the vast majority of our readership, so, if we were to use, we would need to expand it to whatever it may expand to. Schools DO need have their correct names in titles (apostrophes in the right place's etc) but in this case the name is correct; the FCJ is an acronym of the organisation operating the school- we do not have St Amos College RC, St Agnes Luth or any other such. And, of course, no insult is intended to whatever FCJ may be) (Crusoe8181 (talk) 09:15, 30 March 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Vauclusecrest.gif

[edit]

Image:Vauclusecrest.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
