Disambiguation

[edit]

I noticed that disambiguation page for Ventus has been reversed. Perhaps there should be a discussion here about how this is compatible with Wikipedia:Disambiguation guidelines.

It depends in a couple of things. If there is no primary topic, the ambiguous term should be the title of a disambiguation page (or redirect to a different disambiguation page.... An exception may be appropriate when recentism and educational value are taken into account, especially if one of these topics is a vital article.

Secondly if there are two or three other topics, it is still possible to use a hatnote which lists the other topics explicitly, but if this would require too much text (roughly, if the hatnote would extend well over one line on a standard page), then it is better to create a disambiguation page and refer only to that.

Notable?

[edit]

This novel is given away free. Is it notable? In ictu oculi (talk) 17:07, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is a well-respected novel, dealing with a couple of new concepts. It finished 18th on the 2001 Locus poll for science fiction novels. Schroeder has since become a fairly important author, and has a Wikiquote page. Sounds good enough to me. Creative Commons is used by a number of technologically forward thinkers as a tool for education and dissemination of concepts. Markjoseph125 (talk) 02:12, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
