Note about a mistake

[edit]

First of all, I like to mention that I am very surprised that the content of this article was completely identical with the discussion-side. Thought, the discussion-side would be meant for contents like this:

There is a mistake in this article as well as in the Spanish version of it and has happened due to the fact that the article in both languages was apparently written by the same user.

Iberia de Córdoba (described on pages 179 and 180 of the Libro de Oro del Fútbol Mexicano by Juan Cid y Mulet) und Iberia de Veracruz (described on pages 174 till 178 of the same book) were actually two different clubs, formed nearly at the same time and had nothing to do with each other.

As described in the German Wikipedia, Iberia de Córdoba had just a short life time while Iberia de Veracruz soon changed its name into España de Veracruz and merged with Veracruz Sporting Club to form Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz in 1943. This connection has also been described on pages 28 and 29 of the book Balón a tierra by Javier Bañuelos Renteria (Editorial Clio, Mexico 1998). Therefore, it is to note that Iberia de Veracruz (not Córdoba) has merged with Sporting Club to become Tiburones Rojos! Regards, Chivista-en (talk) 19:33, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
