Reason for Edit

[edit]

The dialect whose main characteristic (but not only one) is the Northern Cities Vowel Shift is called Inland Northern American English. Northern Cities Vowel Shift is not the name of the dialect, it's just a major characteristic of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.104.45.20 (talkcontribs) 02:51, 10 July 2007

Move

[edit]

I moved "Vermont English" to the "Western New England" section of the article "New England English." The original Vermont article offered no differences to set Vermont apart from the rest of the Western New England dialect and the page only had two sources, one of which was a dead link. This is simply referring to the Western New England dialect; there is no unique Vermont variety. Wolfdog (talk) 01:43, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
