VT 127 in Colchester?[edit]

The 2005 VTrans FAU Highway Log confirms that VT 127 has been rerouted to follow Blakely Road, so does that mean that VT 127 now exists in two segments in Colchester? The 2006 VTrans state highway log and the September 2008 VTrans town highway map of Colchester indicates that the southern leg of the wye between US 7 and VT 2A is still designated as VT 127. Does anyone know if an overlap exists or if the 0.143 mile long portion of VT 127 between US 7 and VT 2A is unsigned and thus VT 127 is now segmented? – TMF 20:49, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I checked this out using Google Earth's street view, and it appears that (1) there is no overlap as the southbound assembly on where the overlap would be reads US 2 / US 7 / to VT 127 and (2) the northern "segment" of VT 127 appears to be signed as "To VT 2A", at least from the northbound direction. So, I suppose the route now exists in two segments. – TMF 21:09, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
More from the VTrans videolog: as signed, the northern terminus of VT 127 is at US 2 / US 7 at the east end of Blakely Road. There is no overlap between this part of VT 127 and the state-maintained section of VT 127 on the VT 2A wye. The aforementioned other section of what is VT 127 (at least, officially) is not signed as VT 127; it is signed as "To VT 127" from VT 2A northbound and "To South VT 2A" from US 2 / US 7 northbound. – TMF 21:47, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
