Please merge Vibrating alert into this page. There is no difference between the vibrator mechanism in my cellphone and that used in some concrete compactors, except a matter of scale. Both use an eccentric weight spinning on a shaft. Douglas W. Jones (talk) 14:22, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Scale and application. Perhaps the concrete machines should be the ones with their own vibration article, since they clearly have more to say on the subject.--Martin BerkaT|C 16:16, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Industrial Vibrators

[edit]

I added some to the section on industrial vibrators referring to shake tables but I intend to expand it much further. My job is doing vibration testing for a large defense company so I know there is a LOT more that can be said. I would like to eventually put shake tables under their own heading, once I have more than a couple of paragraphs on the topic. I don't know as much about the other sorts of industrial vibrators though so I am leaving the "stub" and "sources needed" tags up with the hopes that someone can expand those sections as well. Herz per minute? Herz is "per second" by itself, so I'll change it to just "Herz". 18:05, 2 July, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.100.137.147 (talk) 16:05, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

no mention of vibrating massagers?

[edit]

aren't vibrating massagers mechanical vibrators? shouldn't there be something about that on this page? at very least a link! 2600:6C47:A0F0:8390:DCAA:D8AA:912D:67DC (talk) 22:58, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
