Expanding this article[edit]

Hello, I moved the entire table of each country's ranking from the human trafficking article to here because the TIP report is directly related to the TVPA. I am working extensively on the human trafficking article so I cannot devote time on this article yet. If anyone would like to expand this article to talk about its origins, what exactly it entails, and what its effects are, that would be great. Or even starting a new article for the Trafficking in Persons (TIP) reports, since it is a big topic.

Not a good article[edit]

First, why in the world is the title DIFFERENT than the subject? The subject is TVPA, I'm not sure what the title "Act" is. Second, the U.S. State department publishes a list of countries "graded" into 3 (really 4) "tiers" which can be found here for 2014:http://www.state.gov/j/tip/rls/tiprpt/2014/226649.htm Third, news reports (Aug 10,2015) report that China, Cuba and Malaysia were all regarded as Tier 3 (worst violators) until political considerations placed them into Tier 2 (I believe for the 2015 report). Obviously, it is relevant that the TVPA is the basis for the State Department's country by country evaluation and should be mentioned here. Considering the gravity of the subject, its unfortunate that this article has languished and is out of date and contains irrelevant information (for instance: a vote was "scheduled" in 2014). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.189.72.141 (talk) 07:11, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
