Year of birth

[edit]

Note: Most sources list 1876 as the year of Chernov's birth. Unfortunately, one of the few sources that does not is the Encyclopædia Britannica.

  • I'm sorry for not signing my last comment, and for failing to notice that the "most sources" that I mentioned were all taken from the Columbia Encyclopedia. I have changed the article to agree with the Britannica, which I believe to be a better source. --Joel7687 00:50, 3 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Assuming the Britannica to be well-researched, I've now removed the "(?)" following "1873". Regards, David Kernow 05:00, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Maureen Perrie has it as 1873. While I don't trust Britannica, I do trust her. She's one of the foremost experts on the PSR. Carrite (talk) 04:31, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction on dates

[edit]

The text is saying "He joined the Socialist-Revolutionary Party upon its founding in 1901 and became the editor of its newspaper Revolutionary Russia." While Personal details box says that he was part of "Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (Mensheviks) (1898–1912)" and was part of "Socialist Revolutionary Party (1912–1940)". The dates simply do not match.
