The mention that Auriol was one of only three persons to head the French Republic twice is incorrect; as it is, presidents Lebrun, Mitterrand and Chirac all were re-elected, thus assuming two consecutive mandates (even though Lebrun's was de facto suspended by the inception of the Vichy regime).

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 03:56, 23 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Expulsion of PCF?

[edit]

The article says "The Communist Party, who often supported the strikes, were expelled from the legislature in early December." Is this correct? The PCF were dismissed from the Ramadier government in May 1947, but that cannot be what this sentence refers to, since it (1) happened in May, (2) doesn't imply exclusion from participation in the legislature. I can't find documentation of this Dec 1947 expulsion.
