I have attempted to wikify this a bit. It read too much like a promotional piece and still needs more references. The chronology was also out of order. NZ forever (talk) 03:21, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

11 years later, it's still lacking references, and still reads like an essay written by a fan rather than an encyclopaedic article. Much of the observation and analysis in this article seems be original research, including the entire last section on themes in his films. I also wonder whether it was written by someone who didn't have English as a first language, as some of the language used is quite strange. I'm hesitant to make large-scale removals of content as this is such a nice article, but it's just not suitable for Wikipedia at present. Robofish (talk) 20:31, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
