Copied text

[edit]

The Phenotypic and Biochemical identification section appears to be lifted entirely from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3020876/ , which is not cited. At a minimum the reference should be added, but given that the references is Copyright © 2010, American Society for Microbiology, it may need to be removed.

It appears to have been added in 2016 https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Viridans_streptococci&diff=712526030&oldid=694884776 Spiffulent (talk) 03:51, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I saw this as well, but only after editing a single sentence. Added the reference. Look like the whole section needs a major overhaul. MudPhudTLC (talk) 00:04, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Moved GI info

[edit]

I've moved the following statement here pending a reference:

"This group of bacteria is regularly found attached to the intestinal mucosa, especially in the colon, and thus forming part of the normal gut microbiota of healthy people."
