Virtua Fighter Remix

[edit]

I added some info about Virtua Fighter Remix, but it would be good if someone who is actually knowledgeable about the subject expands it. Ace of Sevens 04:45, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Originally, one part said, "The Virtua label indicates that the onscreen action takes place in 3D; Virtua Fighter was one of the first fully 3D games to do so." It was one of the first 3D games to be in 3D? This doesn't make sense to me, so I took that out. Ace of Sevens 13:19, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Umm... "the very first 3D-based fighting game"?

What about 4D Sports Boxing? Lco 11:42, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- I personally think that word "very first" must be excluded out of videogame`s history dictionary. Alexei Bespalko - And, answering on question - late 70`s game "Warrior" featured scaling while players moved on staircase on arena in top-down view. Alexei Bespalko

- Calling Virtua Fighter as the very first is just plain incorrect. Sega released a full-3D fighting game a month before Virtua Fighter called Dark Edge so even if non-arcade games are ignored (such as 4D Sports Boxing), VF is not the first one to have 3D fighting space with players circling each other and being able to move in x, y and z-directions. - Dark Edge uses a different kind of 3D. Unlike Virtua Fighter, Dark Edge is sprite-based. Most people are talking about the polygons. Parrothead1983 (talk) 10:15, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
