Google Translate of French Wiki as a possible start?
[edit][Google Translation] 199.111.226.171 (talk) 20:33, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
That is a (machine?) translation of the Russian original, so it would be safer to use the Russian as a basis. PamD 05:21, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
Stub expansion: CNN
[edit]https://edition.cnn.com/2023/01/25/europe/russia-fsb-defectors-osechkin-intl-cmd/index.html This CNN source is cited internationally, for instance in German: https://www.msn.com/de-de/nachrichten/politik/jeder-zweite-fsb-offizier-will-weg/ar-AA16JMtV Greetings from the D-A-CH countries--Himbeerbläuling (talk) 07:05, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
The same cnn info may be useful for the Gulagu.net article. Pings to the content contributors: User:PamD, User:My very best wishes, User:Zohar.ma, and User:Nederlandse Leeuw. --Himbeerbläuling (talk) 07:44, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- yes, he is doing an extraordinary work, and his interviews [1] are eye openers. My very best wishes (talk) 05:52, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
Report by Proekt
[edit][2] -> it appears that the person responsible for "fact checking" of the article was Alexey Korostylev, same who was fired from TV Rain for this. That does not seem to me an RS, so I excluded it. My very best wishes (talk) 21:14, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- The report also reads as a hit piece, with several unjustified accusations. For example authors call Osechikin a "hoaxer" because of his report to French police that someone was targeting him and his family. Well, according to French police [3], that might be a false alarm (or a real thing), but definitely not a hoax. Some other in the report claims were equally problematic for various reasons. For example, sponsorship of his program Gulagu.net by donors is a normal practice, not a proof of anything, as authors of the publication assumed, etc. My very best wishes (talk) 23:03, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
